Dark Slope’s two sound stages are housed in a legendarya purpose-built building which has been home to some of the most celebrated productions shot in Canada. Marlon Brando, Robert De Niro, Jane Fonda, Matthew Broderick, John Candy, Martin Short, Cher, Freddie Mercury, The Rolling Stones, Ringo Starr, Eugene Levy and even Polkaroo have all been part of productions that have shot at our landmark studio complex. Stage B is our LED volume and includes our curved LED wall that is 75 ft. wide in circumference and 16.5 feet high, along with our in-house team of Unreal Engine production experts, for a seamless Virtual Production experience across drama, unscripted, vehicle processing, commercial production and more.

Stage A is our 12,600 sq. ft soundstage perfect for fixed practical sets, swing sets, green screen, and motion capture. Roving LED panels can also be made available for shoots in Studio A.

LED Volume with 3D Assets

Leverage the power and stunning visual quality of Unreal Engine by shooting on our LED volume with custom built 3D assets.

LED Volume with 2D Assets

Use 2D video plates, motion graphics and our programmable DMX lighting system to achieve incredible looking visuals for live performances, presentations and creative linear content.

Performance Capture

Capture body and facial movement of multiple performers that can be applied to 3D characters. Our hardware includes systems from Optitrack, Xsens, Faceware and StretchSense. See performances on screen in real time with our mocap pipeline.

Character Design & Rigging

Work with our talented character artists to create your 3D characters and rig them for performance capture to bring them to life.

Animation

Our animation team excels at bringing your vision from concept drawings to final pixel. Our proven motion capture animation pipeline keeps costs down while delivering beautiful work.
