Involve XR is Dark Slope's immersive learning platform that allows learners to access realistic 3D spaces and objects to learn, observe, practise and apply skills.


The Scrum Master Role

As a Scrum Master, you will support the development of a new innovative product in the VR space. You will support new teams during their start up, teach and coach them in Scrum framework and other Agile practices to help them succeed. You will support the organization in their transformation from Project to Product Development mindset.

You should be comfortable with uncertainty and complexity involved in a new product development. You will be working not only with the teams, but with C-level executives. You will need to create an environment of open communication between business and technology, clear focus on customer value and frequent delivery.


Responsibilities:

  • Help everyone understand the Scrum framework and other Agile practices as necessary
  • Support the Product Owner
  • Finding ways for better Product Backlog management
  • Teaching everyone the importance of clear goals and helping in their definition
  • Suggesting and facilitating Product related workshops where relevant, such as Product Vision, Release Planning, User Story Mapping, etc.
  • Support the Development Team
  • Facilitating various team agreements discussions such as Team Chartering, Definition of Done, etc.
  • Removing impediments to team’s progress that are outside of their control
  • Creating an environment where the team can self-organize
  • Coaching the team in the importance of getting to Done every single Sprint
  • Helping the team to make appropriate commitments and plan better
  • Support the organization
  • Working closely with the leadership teams to create a Product Development culture
  • Facilitating workshops and training when needed such as training on Agile or Scrum, Estimation, Planning, etc.
  • Creating and improving organizational processes to streamline customer collaboration and releases

Requirements:

  • Profound understanding of the Scrum framework
  • Knowledge in various Agile practices and experience in implementing them
  • Experience working in a true Scrum environment (6 months+)
  • Experience in starting up a new Scrum team is a plus
  • Ready to work with C-level executives
  • Strong facilitation, coaching and training skills (or willingness to learn)
  • Ability to lead by example without using authority and portray Scrum values
  • Interest in the industry is a plus

COVID-19 considerations:
We are mostly all working from home until people feel comfortable returning to our office. Some of our motion capture team are onsite, but we employ strict safety precautions when accessing our office.
