The musical dance jamboree series will be produced on Dark Slope’s warehouse-scale motion capture stage using the studio’s proprietary virtual production pipeline

11 February 2022 (TORONTO, ON) – Dark Slope, the Toronto-based virtual production and metaverse gaming company, today announces the return of BABBLE BOP!, the hit sing-along and dance-along extravaganza on Peacock, NBC Universal’s streaming service. The series was greenlit a month after the first season wrapped, signalling the show’s popularity with preschoolers.

With music at the heart of BABBLE BOP!, each episode will be constructed around a simple and danceable preschool song, either original or a new take on a beloved nursery rhyme or traditional song. This inclusive short-form series is intended for social and emotional learning for preschool age children.

“The response to our kids programming has been significant. We’re excited to double our animated kids programming slate and as a part of that investment, further the stories we were introduced to in season one of BABBLE BOP!” Kristofer Updike, Vice President, Kids Development, NBC Universal.

“There is no greater compliment than a season two greenlight so soon after the first season wraps. We’re excited to take the stories further and explore even more efficient production techniques utilising our proprietary pipeline of virtual production tools supported by real time animation in unreal engine.” Dan Fill, President, Dark Slope.
