8 DECEMBER 2021 (TORONTO, ON) – Dark Slope Studios, a Toronto-based virtual production and metaverse gaming company, today announces its Creative Director Dana Ware as a newly minted judge at the 2022 Kidscreen Awards.

The annual Kidscreen Awards celebrates the year’s best work in children’s television and digital media. Joined by other highly respected industry professionals, Dana brings her extensive expertise to the 2022 judging panel.

Since her appointment in late 2020, Dana has been responsible for overseeing VR and AR production and building out new location-based experiences at Dark Slope Studios. She previously served as Creative Director of Utah-based VR studio The Void, where she designed new properties. Her past experience also includes time spent as a Creative Director and Producer at Utah’s NEN Studios, where she created museum walkthrough experience Perspectives VR in partnership with Google Fiber and The Leonardo. Simultaneously, she taught courses in VR, AR, and XR filmmaking at the University of Utah.

“As Dark Slope Studios continues to pave its way as an industry leader in kids VR titles, with hits such as Bogey Ogres Mixed Reality Adventure, Scarygirl Mission Maybee VR and Slugterra VR, it’s a great honour to join such an accomplished panel of judges. I look forward to celebrating the impressive work of the many innovative Canadian content creators,” said Dana Ware, Creative Director, Dark Slope Studios.
