DARK SLOPE SECURES SEED FUNDING, OPENS NEW FREE-ROAM MULTIPLAYER VR ADVENTURE TO THE PUBLIC
The Toronto-based developer is creating some of the most engaging and advanced multiplayer free-roam VR and AR experiences around the world.
TORONTO – Feb. 12, 2019– Dark Slope, a Toronto-based virtual and augmented reality (VRand AR)developer, is creating free-roam multi-user experiences for the rapidly expandinglocation-basedentertainment (LBE) market and for enterprise customers. The one-year oldcompany is announcing it hasclosed a seed funding round raising more than $1.5 million, andthe launch of its first product, the LBE titleScarygirl Mission Maybee. Funds will be used to addnew staff, develop the company’s free roam technologyand its enterprise product line, and tosupport the release of future VR and AR experiences. As part of theseed round the company ispleased to announce the appointment of new investor Steven DeNure, co-founderand formerPresident/COO of DHX Media, to the board of Dark Slope.

ScarygirlMission Maybee, based on the cult hit graphic novel and designer toy brandScarygirl from acclaimed artistNathan Jurevicius, is a first-person action game that brings up toeight players together to save the world fromDr. Maybee and his diabolical experiments.Players must work closely together to suck up infectioushazardous goo, purify it and blast itback at the hordes of creatures infesting the world.
